Hearing and speech exercises

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
The aim of the program of hearing and speech exercises is to contribute to a fuller realization of the development of speech and language as one of the main tasks for students with hearing and other disabilities, because of the level of language development of these children depends on a successful level of educational work. The tasks are as follows:

- The systematic use of remaining hearing abilities help further development of listening skills sounds of human speech, and to contribute to the development of speech
- To contribute to more efficient development of cognitive and intellectual abilities
- To enable better social communication with persons of intacted hearing and successful mental development of students with hearing impairments
- To contribute to the successful oral communication of the students in everyday situations, as well as pure and clearer articulation on the basis of listening
- To eliminate the speech disadvantages of these students
- To improve students` hearing and speech status by the system of hearing exercises and enable the successful mastering of educational content
- To contribute to a better understanding of reading and speaking out of the mouth interlocutors, and thus make the speech more accessible to social communication

The aims of audiologist's work are:
-timely and accurate diagnosis of speech and language status of students with the most modern tests
-proper sound's articulation of Serbian language, correction of pronunciation sounds
-overcoming functional changes in laryngeal voice quality
-eliminate irregularities in reading and writing
-agramatisms removal and proper grammatical expression
-removing prosodic elements disorder.

DIAGNOSIS
Selection of children for treatment is carried out by testing. Tests for speech and language are indicators of speech-language status and controllers of rehabilitation practice.

III SUBSPEECH FUNCTIONS EXAMINATION
a) The distinction of phonemes
b) Discrimination of affricates
c) Examination of oral stereognosis

IV LANGUAGE STRUCTURE EXAMINATION
a) Lingvorgam
b) Test for verbal memory
c) The semantic test
g) grammar tests
